We are always putting safety first and by following other bloggers that were out at Songkran, as well as talking with the nice ladies at our hostel (Wendy House) before heading out we had a good sense of what it was like. And I know what you mean about having a connection. I now click on the links in my Google news for the latest info on what is going on in Thailand. We are really enjoying China. Shanghai is amazing, 20million people huge, but still totally amazing with so much to see and do. Including the World's Fair, Expo 2010, which we will go to on Monday. Enjoy your last couple of days of your trip before heading back home. We will miss your updates but hope we can stay in touch. Gillian – glad you did not worry. I'm glad to hear you are safe and sound...even with the reminders of what can happen. I find it difficult to watch news like this now after visiting a country...there is a connection now.
