I have been in Thailand for about 6 months and still can barely comprehend the deliciousness of the cuisine. I also truly believe in the benefits of learning about culture and it's connection to eating. I am looking forward to going to Viet Nam soon for some edible delights and maybe some cooking lessons. Sounds like I might have to search slightly harder for exquisite food than here in Thailand?

Glad to hear Vietnamese food is like crack for you guys as well. We've been to a few places in Chicago and a great Banh Mi joint - thankfully most of them are far away in sketchy neighborhoods otherwise I wouldn't eat anything else.

I'm totally going to try and make that Banh Xeo.
